What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar tools include local storage. They can keep you signed in, remember a consent choice, or measure how a page is used.
Read this policy with the Privacy Policy. The operator is Nexlume Media LLC.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required for the site to work. They cover security, load balancing, the signed-in session, the form-protection token, and storing the choice you make in the consent banner.
The consent tool cannot switch these off, because the pages that need them would stop working. You can still block them in the browser. Sign-in and forms may then fail.
- Session cookie: keeps you signed in while you use My URLs.
- Security cookie: helps forms reject a forged request.
- Consent cookie: remembers whether you accepted non-essential cookies, when the banner is shown.
Consent manager
Marketing pages may load CookieYes, or a similar consent tool, so you can accept or refuse non-essential categories before those cookies run. The banner state is stored so we do not ask on every page view.
If the consent tool is not configured for a given environment, only essential cookies are used.
Analytics
Where the law requires consent, analytics cookies run only after you allow that category. They help us see which public pages are used. They are not required to create a short link.
Click counts inside My URLs come from the redirect log, not from an advertising cookie on your browser.
The redirect
Opening /r/{code} is built so the hop itself does not set a marketing or analytics session cookie. The destination site may set its own cookies after you arrive. Those cookies are covered by that site’s policy, not this one.
How long they last
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or sign out. A consent cookie can last for months so the banner does not repeat. You can delete either kind in the browser at any time.
How to control cookies
Use the consent banner or its preference link on pages where it appears. You can also block or delete cookies in the browser. Controls differ by browser.
Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in. Refusing analytics does not prevent a short link from being created or opened.
