Understanding click counts
How tallies work for registered short links.
Each successful follow of /r/{code} increments that link’s click count for registered links shown in My URLs.
Counts are a lightweight signal. They help you see which shares get used; they are not a full analytics product with funnels or attribution models.
Reading the numbers
Treat tallies as directional. Automated scanners, preview bots, and curious reloads can occasionally inflate a count.
Click counts do not change how the redirect works. Recipients still receive a clean redirect with a no-referrer policy to your https destination.
If a count looks wrong
- Confirm you are viewing the correct short code in My URLs.
- Confirm recipients used the /r/ URL, not a pasted long destination.
- Expect occasional bumps from preview bots and mail scanners.
We do not add QR dashboards or third-party tracking pixels to the redirect itself. Keep the redirect quiet; measure with the tools that already fit your workflow when you need more.
