How personalized paths can improve clicks
Readable aliases and familiar hosts help people trust a link - especially in SMS, slides, and support replies.
People decide whether to tap based on what the surrounding sentence promises and whether the path looks trustworthy. A random code can work; a clear alias often works better when the link is spoken or skimmed quickly.
On no-referer you can add an optional alias under /r/, and on paid plans attach a branded host you already own. Neither feature should oversell the page that actually opens.
Practical patterns
- Name the page in the sentence next to the URL.
- Use aliases like support-reset or spring-guide - not vague teasers.
- Preview the short link on a phone before a campaign send.
How it works on no-referer
Personalized paths still follow https-only rules and clean no-referrer redirects. Click counts in My URLs are per-link tallies - not a full attribution suite.
