URL redirects: what they are and how they work
A short path that hops to your https destination - quietly, with a no-referrer policy on no-referer.
A redirect tells a browser: open this short address, then continue to another URL. Short links are redirects with a compact front door.
no-referer stores your https destination, issues a /r/{code} (or alias), and serves a clean hop when someone opens it - no marketing interstitial in between.
What recipients experience
They tap /r/{code} and land on your https page. Where the browser honors no-referrer, less previous-page context travels with the click.
What creators still see
You always see the full target at create time and again in My URLs when signed in. A quieter referrer is for the recipient's click - not a hidden destination for you.
How it works on no-referer
Every plan uses the same clean redirect model. Paid tiers change volume, history, and support - not a noisier hop. Edit a signed-in destination later; the short path and printed QR stay valid.
